DuoSkin | A smart tattoo by MIT and Microsoft Research
Researchers from MIT media lab and Microsoft research came up with an amazing wearable gadget, a smart tattoo!!!
DuoSkin, to officially call it is kind of a temporary tattoo of. Some PhD students at MIT and Microsoft research came up with this idea. This, according to them is classified into three classes – Input, Output and Communication.
In a demonstration it is being used as a touchpad to control music on a smartphone just with a swipe on forearm.
It is also used to display information or change colour as a response to temperature. Adding up NFC to it enables it to store data on your skin while adding to your style statement.
In a photo they even turned it into a piece of jewellery by adding some LEDs to it.
This amazing piece of technology is achieved by replicating an electric circuit in gold leaf material and temporarily attaching it to skin through water transfer.
The full scale demonstration of the invention will be presented at a wearable technology symposium in Germany.
